Misguided-Ghost1612 (Olivia from Australia) writes,
“This is the dress I designed and made for my Major Textiles Project for my HSC.
“It was inspired by the popular book series The Hunger Games. It was a combination of the interview dress from The Hunger Games and also the mockingjay wedding dress from Catching Fire.
“The dress was hand dyed 4 times with 4 different coloured dyes to get the ombre effect. And on the bodice there are over 100 individual sewn little flames that have been strategically place and hand sewn onto the dress using an invisible nylon thread. The sleeves have almost another 200 slightly larger flames, also hand sewn. Under the skirt there is also a two layered crystal organza petticoat.
“A total of 28 different fabrics were used to make this dress.
“NOTE: This isn’t me wearing it.”
