“I took a picture of a girl and her father at a renaissance fair. It made the front page and that day I got a PM from that girl asking to be friends on Facebook.
“I added her and it turns out she kicks ass. Her wall was littered with posts about my front page post from her friends and family. She suffers from spinal muscular atrophy and chooses to write novels for young adults and donates the proceeds to spinal muscular atrophy research. She’s got a great, positive personality and it’s really inspiring.”

“This was at the Maryland Renn Fest. There are many Renn Fests all over the United States, but this particular picture was taken in Maryland.”
